Port Sudan 15-9-2025 The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority, Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mohamed Abdullah, received an official invitation to attend the inauguration ceremony of the first Turkish Airlines flights, which will depart from Port Sudan International Airport tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, during his meeting with Mr. Fatih Yildiz, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Sudan. The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority gave the Turkish ambassador a detailed statement on the progress of work in preparation for the resumption of full operations in the near future. For his part, the Director General stressed the importance of Turkish Airlines' return to Sudanese airspace through Port Sudan Airport, stressing its role in facilitating the movement of Sudanese and foreign citizens between Sudan, Turkey and the rest of the world, benefiting from its global air network.
